About Iain Valliere:
I have always been an athlete, from running competitive track and field in High School, to playing provincial level football. This then lead me to discover my passion for weightlifting. I started going seriously to gym to get bigger and stronger for football, but quickly discovered the sport of Bodybuilding. I began researching different methods and techniques to help me optimize my nutrition and training, and after 2 years I decided to compete in my first bodybuilding show at the age of 19. I competed in the Ottawa Championships where I won the Junior class, and was hooked. I went on to win the provincial as well as the National Championships as a Junior in 2011. In 2012 I suffered some injury and sickness which kept me from competing, but also built up a fire in me to get back on the stage better than ever. In November 2013 I began my road in the Men’s Open class, winning both the Heavyweight class and Overalls at the Ottawa regional show. I then competed in the Provincial championships in spring 2014 once again winning Superheavyweight class and the Overall title. By winning this show I was given the opportunity to compete at the Amateur Olympia in Mexico. I came back with an Overall title and the honor of now being one of the world’s youngest IFBB pro’s. Shortly after Mexico I signed a contract with Weider Publications/ Flex Magazine. My future competition plans include the NY Pro and also the Toronto Pro.
